Well, I love to bake cookies and cakes (REAL ones) in my freetime :> So I DO use my talent for something "useful". But you know, art is quite useless anyway, like everything pretty. So why not stop doing pretty things and start doing useful things? Why do you draw? Is it useful?
I think Art is as useful as cooking or sewing clothes. Human beings need pretty things in their lives and useful things can be beautiful as well.
And I just don't share my (edible) bakery with dA That's my private decission.
If I could trade my ability to draw with the ability to sew or make music, I'd do that instantly. Pictures are fun, but only to look at. That's is the main reason I'm currently studying Animation instead of Fine Arts~
Don't get me wrong, I love those tiny fimo delights. I'm just too gluttonous not to get upset by how inedible they are :<
Sewing is something anyone can do C: Our mothers learned to sew in school. It's so sad I/we didn't. But it's very easy and you can learn it! The same with music. I played 5 years violine (stopped for some sad reason). But it's never too late to learn something.
But aren't Animations just pictures that move? ö _ö
